President Trump requested supplemental funding from Congress to build a border wall, further militarize bi-national and indigenous border communities, hire more immigration enforcement and border patrol agents, and permanently expand immigrant detention.
Congress should instead pass the BRIDGE Act, bi-partisan legislation that would offer congressional protection to certain undocumented immigrants who grew up in the United States while Congress determines longer term solutions.
