Join us for an Advocacy Workshop with the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL)! Gather for this in-person experience to learn how you can become a more effective advocate to drive change in Congress.
Current events and historical legacies trouble many of us. This workshop will cover the role we can play as citizens and as advocates in addressing systemic injustices the US has perpetrated both at home and abroad. Using the Dismantling Racism/Militarism lens, participants will explore new paradigms for our role in the world based on the values of peace, justice, and sustainability.
Workshop participants will develop a range of advocacy skills to promote peace and justice in the policymaking process. We will go in-depth on FCNL’s relationship-based style of lobbying, teach skills on storytelling, and share best practices on effective communication with Members of Congress.
At the end, we will invite attendees to join the new Advocacy Team in Philadelphia, PA
This Advocacy Workshop features FCNL Advocacy Teams Organizer Eleni Retta. The workshop will run from 1:00PM to 4:00PM EST.
