Access to affordable, quality health care should not and cannot be a privilege; it is a requirement rooted in faith to protect the life and dignity of every person. National Faith leaders are coming to Portland to support local efforts urging Senator Susan Collins to help save Medicaid and stop the passage of the Better Care Reconciliation act that was just proposed in the Senate.
Diane Randall, Executive Secretary of the Friends Committee on National Legislation
Maggie Conley, Justice Director of the Sisters of Mercy
Rebecca Linder Blachly, Director of the Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations
To discuss why faith calls us to act for affordable, comprehensive health care for all, share stories of the impact cuts to Medicaid would have on those in Maine, and worship together.
