Refugee programs are under threat. Before the end of the summer, some members of Congress would like to see funding for U.S. refugee resettlement programs cut by 39%. Since taking office, President Trump has also proposed drastic funding cuts to refugee assistance programs and threatened the future of refugee resettlement in the United States. Meanwhile, the world stands in the midst of the worst refugee crisis in modern history.
This year, more than any year before, we are called to stand up for our refugee neighbors.
