Our leaders need to stop tweeting and start talking. Threats of fire and fury are the wrong approach. The stakes are high. Escalating rhetoric or conventional air or missile strikes could easily escalate into a nuclear war.
Congress must stand up to the president and exercise its constitutional duty to determine whether and when the United States goes to war. With such dangerous rhetoric on both sides, an accident could quickly spark a disaster. Instead of escalating rhetoric, the U.S. and North Korea need to stop shouting and start talking about how to reduce tensions and find a diplomatic pathway forward.
